Thus, for example, EP 0 790 087 A1 discloses a corner joining machine, which consists essentially of a corner key for precise positioning of the two hollow profiles, two outer punching heads together with punching knives and an abutment arranged in the inner corner for supporting the hollow profiles during the punching process. For pressing a frame corner, first the two Hohiprofile be inserted together with the corner bracket in the corner joining machine and stretched with the abutment against the corner button on the outside corner. This object is achieved according to the invention in that at least individual positioning elements, fastening elements or punching heads lying outside the pressed frame corner can be lowered below the working plane of the support table after the hollow profiled elements have been pressed.
